Sunway A-Level Students Qualify for the World Scholar’s Cup Final Round at Yale University
In mid-June, eight of our A-Level students competed in the World Scholar’s Cup Global Round which was held in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center and 8 other host schools, including Sunway itself. This tournament was officially introduced to Sunway by A-Level students Miyuki Goay and Darren Tan, who recently founded the Sunway Scholars Club, where they coached dozens of students from all programmes.

The World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) is the world’s biggest academic decathlon and consists of four events – Team Debate, Scholar’s Challenge, Collaborative Writing and Scholar’s Bowl. 4500 scholars from more than 60 different countries gathered in Kuala Lumpur to debate each other and ruminate on neurology and the history of diplomacy through their philosophical essays.

Sunway was among the top 3 schools in the world at this year’s Global Round, beating out household names like Hwa Chong, Nanyang Girls High School, Tsinghua University High School, University of Toronto School, and Hong Kong’s King George V School ...

IT Services Takes Going Green Initiative Seriously
Continue taking the going green initiative further, IT Services (Sunway College) collaborated with Rentwise early this year to sponsor 35 sets of refurbished Dell desktops and LCD monitors to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Jinjiang in Kuala Lumpur. Top Students Honoured by Sunway College Ipoh
A total of 22 high achievers in Sunway College Ipoh (SCI) received their award for obtaining excellent results in their respective examinations in a ceremony held here in the college. In line with AUSMAT’s well-rounded education system, our students have plenty of opportunities to take part in various co-curricular activities. One activity which became an instant hit among students was the Ausmazing Race – a station game in which students went through challenging obstacles at stations set up all around the campus.
