The Melbourne Wall

This wall paints homage to some of the most iconic Melbourne features from the colourful beach cabins at St. Kilda to the majestic Twelve Apostles. It also features some of the most unique region-specific features such as the cute koala, the much awaited and watched Phillip Island penguin, heritage Aboriginal art boomerangs and the much raved about Melbourne coffee. As a highlight, the modern and new VU campus is placed in the middle against beautiful  hues of the sky at dusk.

The Alumni Wall

The Kindling Of A Flame” quote by Socrates conjures the image of passion for learning by igniting the wings of a bird to take flight and soar. This wall highlights the journey of students’ learning in VU – and very specially, also includes thumbprints of alumni members and current students to signify their constant association and continued journey with education.

To impart a holistic education program remains our aim and we cannot agree more with Philosopher and educational reformer, John Dewey  who emphasised that “Education Is Life Itself”. ‘Life’ in this mural is symbolised by an eye looking through the diversity of the flora and is in tandem with the increased adoption the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices, standards and framework which are being practised here in Sunway.

The Knowledge Wall

This concept embodies and embraces the importance of education as we are in the Industrial Revolution 4.0, represented by a robotic eye in the metaverse space. The eye also morphs into the map of Malaysia to Australia.

Take a look at the other eye. Captivating, isn’t it? Both eyes complement each other, striving a balance between the environment and technological advancement, which offer a dynamic vision in education.
