The Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB) was launched by The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in September 2008 in United Kingdom (UK) as a new stand-alone business qualification. It provides essential knowledge in the fundamentals of finance, accounting and business, and can be used as an entry route into the ICAEW programme.
Following the launch of the CFAB in UK, Sunway TES CAE formulated an innovative pathway for school leavers. This specially designed pathway is a feeder into the ICAEW and provides school leavers with an accelerated route to the ICAEW ACA qualification.
Through this innovative pathway, students can progress to the ICAEW programme and obtain the prestigious ACA qualification right after high school. Its unique approach which allows both classroom studies and practical work experience offers a holistic learning experience and equips you with relevant skills to be an adept
Why CFAB At Sunway TES CAE
Sunway TES CAE offers CFAB as an accelerated route to ICAEW for school leavers.
It takes only 5.5 years to qualify as an ACA after SPM / O-Level instead of 7 - 8 years through the degree pathway. This is provided that students pass all exams in their first attempt and secure a 3 year of ICAEW training agreement.
Additional subjects such as English 1, English 2, English 3, Business Mathematics, Interpersonal Communication, Thinking Skills and 3 MPU subjects are included in the curriculum.
These subjects will be able to equip students with important soft skills when progress is made to the ICAEW Professional Stage and Advanced Stage.
Strategic alliances with ICAEW Authorised Training Employers (ATEs)
Sunway TES CAE works closely with ICAEW ATEs to provide work-based learning and ICAEW training contracts.
