The event was held from 12th to 15th September 2022. The objectives of this event were to enhance students’ financial literacy, to introduce students to the new development in the financial market and to enrich students’ learning and assess students’ understanding in a more interactive method. The targeted participants for this event was Sem 2 and Sem 3 students. However, some of the activities were also opened to all staff, lecturers and students of Sunway Education Group (SEG).
Throughout June 2022, the AUSMAT Student Council had organized a virtual run event, Run for Rhinos (R4R). With the tagline Don’t Let Rhinos become Dinos, the run has one main objective; to raise funds in support of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and their rhino conservation efforts. RFR is AUSMAT’s one of many events in line with the Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing and SDG 15: Life on Land.
There has been a significant rise in the population of stray animals in Malaysia during this Covid-19 pandemic. One of the reasons is that many strays are usually neglected and grow without proper care which led to a population increase substantially. The number of strays has risen since the pandemic and thus far, little has been done to manage the strays.
Human Resource Management is critical to the success to any organisation. It is the backbone to an organisation and a strategic organisation would have HR on their board of directors.
It was great to see some notable personalities of students at the recent Sunway Diploma Studies graduation. Pursuing a qualification in Information Technology with intent to specialise further into the field is a welcoming move by students who are IT enthusiasts.
We are living in a technology dependent world these days. Online platforms have become a convenient way to secure goods, services and pay without leaving the comforts of home. However, not everyone is able to access the online platforms with ease. There were reports on the plight of senior citizens struggling to catch on to the widely-adapted technological trend or even trust the technology. This opens tremendous potential for our youth to share their technology savviness for the betterment of society and improving financial inclusion.
